What an incredible way to end the 2019 season for me! Jackie & Mark held their fabulous wedding at the stunning Viewpoint Hotel in York, Maine, and I was so blessed to be a part of it. The sun was shining, and it was a pleasantly warm day with a nice ocean breeze. Blue skies, sparkling ocean and the gorgeous Nubble Light House were the backdrops for this celebration, and it was everything you would imagine a coastal, Southern Maine wedding to be. We started the day in one of the light-filled suites of the hotel, complete with views of the ocean and lighthouse. Light was everywhere - a photographer’s dream! Before we knew it, First Look took place on the lower patio of the hotel, directly overlooking the ocean and the lighthouse. I mean, the views and surroundings really are a huge draw to this venue. Guests even arrived early to take photos of the lighthouse and scenery, and the plus side is there were appetizers and no tourists to battle! Just about every corner of the place is scenic, and Jackie and Mark capitalized on that fact big time. Jackie was stunning and looked like royalty as she was escorted down grand stairs and finally the aisle for the sweet ceremony.
Next was the high-energy cocktail hour which took place on the sprawling lawn, allowing guests to spread out and get more photos of the light house and scenery as they went back and forth between the bar and insanely delicious appetizers. Next came the reception which was chock full of smiles, laughter and happy tears and so much dancing! The Virtue Band was phenomenal - one of the absolute best I’ve seen. They had the dance floor packed for every song, and were just so incredibly, incredibly talented. Jackie & Mark really made this day their own, and had their personal touches everywhere from the bouquet to the shirts and water bottles, signage, and even the food. Oh my gosh, the FOOD. White Apron knocked it out of the park yet again in the flavor department with their incredible appetizers and entrees. AJ, the coordinator at the Viewpoint did an absolutely amazing job making sure everything was taken care of and that things flowed smooth as butter the entire day. All of the wedding professionals for this wedding were truly amazing. All of this added up and allowed for Jackie & Mark to have time for themselves and friends and family, and to be themselves on one of the most important days of their lives. You could just feel the love pouring out from Jackie & Mark all day, as well as from their friends and family. I certainly was blessed and honored to be part of such an incredible day, and hope you all enjoy this sneak peek!
