I was so excited to film the Maritime Meetup event hosted by Maine Wedding Network at the Maine Maritime Museum! I knew this was going to be an awesome event based on the other professionals that were lined up to participate, and was blown away by the spectacular views in and surrounding the beautiful venue when I went for a visit before the event itself. Adjacent to the museum is a large function space, complete with deck perfect for cocktails and taking in the scenery. The lovely event was held in this space, and it accommodated the needs for the evening perfectly. There is even a large kitchen area adjacent to the room, perfect to house everything a caterer might need. Needless to say, I was impressed from the start. Then came the actual night, and man, each vendor brought their A-game! Everything from the lighting, the calligraphed and paper items, the table setting decor and floral displays, the music, the bar, the delicious food and baked goods, to the door prizes for the event was stellar. An amazing amount of detail and attention went into this project from every professional involved, and it made for an incredible night of cocktails, food and networking. It was an incredible sampling of what the wedding industry in Maine has to offer, and the absolute quality we are all capable of. I got to work along side some of my friends in the industry, and made some new friends, too! This was an all-around outstanding event with an incredible turnout from wedding professionals from all over the state, and I am proud to have been a part!
