It was my honor and pleasure to capture Amanda & Marjorie’s lovely wedding at the Saltwater Grille in South Portland yesterday! The weather may have been a little chilly, but that did not dampen any spirits and everything went smooth as butter. We started off the day with their first look on the docks of the marina next to the venue, and my was it just breathtaking! The skyline of Portland across the bay plus the boats in the marina lent to that most amazing nautical “Maine” feeling you really can’t get anywhere else. Shortly after formal photos, the sweet ceremony took place in one of the upper rooms of the restaurant (including a shell-combining ceremony with the brides and their son), soon followed by the lovely reception in the other formal upstairs room. Both rooms have stunning views of the marina, Casco Bay and the Portland skyline through large windows which gave the entire celebration a wonderful backdrop in addition to the modern and clean decor of the restaurant. The brides were so beautiful, the views were incredible, the food was outstanding, and everyone was full of stories, laughs and smiles through the whole day. This was truly a wonderful celebration that I was so happy to be a part of!
