Ok so I've covered my love for Christmas already. It gets so much more heightened by weekends like I just had! That's right - we got the TREE.
Yesterday we piled in the car and embarked on a cold weather adventure to an adorable, local Christmas tree farm in South Portland, Maine. The air was crisp and cold, but the sun was warm and bright, and my son couldn't contain his laughter and excitement as we boarded a tractor hayride to travel around the farm. We snuggled up, bundled in our late fall beanies, coats and mittens and watched the trees pass row by row in a forest filled with hope for the holidays. At the end of the ride, we were greeted with hot chocolate, cider and a campfire compete with marshmallows and roasting sticks. Times like these are what family and childhood memories are made of. And I cherish every minute of them. It may not seem like a big deal to someone who is from around here, or is used to this kind of thing, but to my family, it is special. It is precious. We have made it a point to make purposeful memories like this for our family. It brings us great joy!
So, to celebrate the amazing weekend of Christmastime memories I just had, I want to share some of that joy with you guys. I've made some festive wallpapers that you can download for free right here:
